Glancing wearily at the kitchen cupboards , I saw staring at me all the while glass jars filled to the brim with dry fruits and nuts. My daughters quick demand, make something healthy that can be enjoyed quickly with less than 10 minutes of notice ! Yummy delicious dry fruits barfi, bites, laddoos call them anything depending on the shape!
In less than 10 minutes they were ready , packed and she went away not knowing what a distraught but a happy mom she left behind at home. My nutritious quick fix snack done! Phew!
I almost forgot I would make these for vrat / fasting days too. I used to jokingly say fast and feast as it would be a yummy treat for those fasting too.
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/4 cup pistachios
- 32 tbsp of cashew nuts
- 3 tbsp raisins
- 2 tbsp of dates deseeded
- 3 tbsp of chopped dried figs
- 4 dried apricots
- 3 tbsp of dried coconut flakes .
