Carrot Gulkand ( sweetened rose petals ) milk powder barfi sounds exotic as a friend commented , and yes it does add that extra something to a already delicious barfi mixture. It was actually on a whim i added, i like the flavor of gulkand , and use it occasionally, i imagined how the barfi might turn out , and i wasn’t disappointed .
I guess it can be added to beet root barfi too .
Compared to other sweets , this uses less sugar , less ghee and those hesitating to use that 1/4 cup powdered sugar can try with natural date syrup .
