Masala Dosa batter in dry powder form , a s a premix for ready to use after fermenting of course . and this is my best recipe for a powder form of mix .
No grind Masala dosa batter ….no soaking and no grinding , so how is to our advantage ? well you save nearly 6 hours of prepping , which includes soaking and grinding . Any day i would love to have a masala dosa or any dosa , with ground batter , the good old way . But it is not always possible to spare time , or one may not have necessary equipment for grinding esp for bachelors and people who have just left home to relocate . For travelers who are on long trips and use home stays with kitchen or a hotel with a kitchenette , this is very handy to carry with you in a Ziploc, one doesn’t need to measure out each ingredient individually , just scoop out required dry powder , make a dosa batter , allow to ferment ( baking soda can be used for immediate use though i do not follow this method , i always ferment batter .)
So yet another travel friendly recipe for no grind Masala dosa batter ..
. This dosa dry mix is useful even for home use, when you want just few dosas, or dont have time for soaking and grinding .. Keep a prepared mix , ready for use ., save some soaking , grinding time .Carry a pack for use when you travel .
