Mawa modak , or milk powder mawa modak is a easy sweet to prepare for the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. This is a pedha mixture which can be used to fill the modak moulds and served as neivediyam to  the Lord. As one needs daily prasad for offering to Ganesha, this can be one of the sweets prepared and very useful for those who do not fid iit easy to make  the regular rice flour Jaggery  coconut modaks . This can be a last minute sweet prepared for the day too . I always feel the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is so very flexible, as it is being celebrated for 11 days in most parts of the country, one needs to have a variety of sweets offering to the Lord and here one can get creative too .

Instructions
  1. In a heavy pan,,add the ghee, add milk, add mi powder and cook on a low flame
  2. keep cooking till mixture gets thickened but not too dry
  3. add cardamom powder, and chopped pistachios.
  4. add few drops of milk if you see mixture drying up but not cooked enough .
  5. remove when it becomes shiny, and not sticky,
  6. allow mixture to cool in a plate but not too cold .
  7. add powdered sugar to the taste you prefer, mix well with fingers, make sure that while adding powdered sugar, the mixture should not be hot or too cold.
  8. make pedhas by shaping with fingers,
  9. add some of the pedha mixture to a modak mould and remove .
  10. beautiful delicious mawa modaks for Lord Ganesha is ready
