Instructions
  1. In a bowl add the flour , milk powder , baking powder and mix well , add ghee and mix with fingers till the dry mixture is well coated with ghee and crumbly .
  2. Now add milk little by little to form a smooth dough . You may need more or less of the milk . Do not add all milk at once . Do not make a tight dough .
  3. Pinch off small balls and shape them into round smooth balls without cracks . It should be light . Heat a pan with ghee or oil and deep fry the shaped jamuns on a low heat .
  4. Keep turning the balls in hot oil with a spatula to prevent them from sticking to the pan and also to ensure even browning .
  5. When the jamuns have become brown uniformly remove from hot oil drain kn kitchen towel and drop into the warm sugar syrup
  6. Let the jamuns rest for at least 2 hours so that they soak and absorb the syrup and become juicy . Serve yummy gulab jamuns either chilled or warm .
