Kalakand (milk powder recipe…using paneer made from milk powder )..another way to use up milk powder 

A quick easy recipe to enjoy kalakand any time you want with minimum ingredients .
in this recipe i have used milk powder completely, in the sense i have used paneer made from milk powder and condensed milk also using milk powder so the entire recipe from start to finish is under 30 minutes and if you have the paneer either from store or home made on hand, and condensed milk can , a delightful sweet can be made by anyone . Microwave will speed up the process and give an amazing texture to kalakand.

 

To make quick condensed milk at home for the recipe

 INGREDIENTS:

1 cup milk powder

1/2 cup icing sugar or granulated sugar

1/2 cup hot milk or very hot water.

1 tbsp melted butter.

METHOD:

Blend all the ingredients well till creamy and to the consistency you desire.

To thin it, use little more hot water or milk.

Store in a bottle and refrigerate. Stays good upto 5 days , but I bet you would have already used it up in a recipe.

It is always better to make small batches , as and when you need . a quick video for condensed milk is being uploaded .

Instructions
  1. Mix both paneer and condensed milk in a heavy bottomed pan, and cook on a low flame till mixture thickens .
  2. after about 10 minutes, the mixture comes together. spread it on a greased dish or on a dish with butter papewr lined.
  3. allow it to cool and set .,meanwhile sprinkle the slivers of nuts on top, press gently .
  4. after about an hour the kalakand would have set well, slice and serve
