Set Dose/dosa
The name set dosa is explanatory, served in set of three identical rounds of thick soft dosas , alongside Saagu a very delicious , tad spicy gravy loaded with some vegetables and a fragrant concoction of masalas ground with coconut . Coconut chutney is also served but the perfect pair is Set dosa with Saagu.
Idli batter
Idlis are one of the most easily digestible foods as it is steamed and no oil is used in preparation and forms an excellent breakfast option. Typically Idlis are served with coconut chutneys or some other varieties of chutneys and sambar almost invariably is prepared for Idlis.
Little Millets Adai
Here I used little millets also called Samai in Tamil to prepare quick adais. Usually Adai is prepared by soaking rice and lentils and ground to a coarse batter. Protein rich, heavy and very filling, it makes a great lunch or breakfast idea.

This is a very popular dish from South Karnataka, Mangalore Udupi regions somewhat closer to our own Mor Kuzhambu from Tamil Nadu.,
Majjige Kayi Huli with any vegetables like pumpkin, ladies fingers, beans is prepared more or less the same way we prepare the mor kuzhambu.
Majjige means buttermilk in Kannada, huli is tamrind and kayi means coconut.
This is a mildly spiced , coconut based dish made with green chillies and pinch of tamrind in the authentic version.
